Kraigg Brathwaite did raise his game in final test against Pakistan to lead his side to a hard fought five wicket over Pakistan at Sharjah. The Calypso Nation victory is first of its kind for the side outside West indies and Bangladesh. The victory also means a lot to Jason Holder and boys as they did not experienced a win in 14 games played under his reign.
West indies were placed at 114 for 5 going to the final Day as Carlos Brathwaite and Shane Dowrich showed positive intent to clinch a well-earned win over Pakistan. Brathwaite did play attacking strokes against the likes of Yasir Shah and Wahab Riaz to see them knock off the remaining runs in just 8 overs into the fifth day of the test match.
Both the batsmen did not let go off the momentum as they did put away bad balls to see their side inch close to victory. Dowrich sealed the win after a smashed a short pitched delivery from left arm pacer Mohammad Amir to end the game in style for West indies.
Pakistan bowlers did throw everything at their disposal against West indies batsmen but it was not enough as the score on the board was easily surpassed by the West indies batsmen. West indies did experience a wobbly start to their chase as they slumped to 67 for 5 but Brathwaite and Dowrich put on a unbeaten match winning partnership of 87 runs to seal a well-deserved victory by five wickets against Pakistan to end the tour on the right note.
