It will be interesting to see how Pakistan performs in the upcoming edition of 2020 T20 World Cup. The young side with star-studded players has certainly underachieved in the history of T20 competition. Will Pakistan clinch second trophy this year? Let’s take a look at three players that can help Pakistan win the coveted trophy in Australia.

Babar Azam

There is no doubt that Captain Babar Azam is the lynchpin in the batting department for Pakistan. He has produced impressive numbers in the format in the past two years. Since past 12 months, he has raised his game with the bat to a whole new level. Since May 2019, Babar Azam has accumulated 224 runs in 8 innings at an average of 37.33 with three half-centuries to his name.

Shadab Khan

All-rounder will be focused to deliver the goods with the bat and ball for Pakistan in this year’s competition. Recently, Shadab Khan delivered excellent batting performances for Islamabad United in the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia.

Mohammad Hafeez

Mohammad Hafeez has shown consistency with the bat and ball so far this season. The 38-year old will be looking to end his international career on a high.

Despite being dropped for home series in Sri Lanka, the all-rounder was recalled into the side for the T20I series against Bangladesh. In 13 matches, Mohammad Hafeez has accumulated 373 runs at an average of 53.28 with 2 half-centuries to his name.

His bowling has not been that effective since his action has remodeled. But he will be looking to play a pivotal role for the side in this year’s T20 World Cup.
