Three Players to watch out for Bangladesh in the 2020 ICC T20 World Cup

Bangladesh have been quite competitive in the previous ICC showpiece events.  Mahmudullah will lead the side for this year’s T20 World Cup.  In the previous T20 World Cup played in India, Bangladesh failed to make it to the playoffs of the competition.

The side has a decent blend of youth coupled with experience for upcoming ICC T20 World Cup in Australia. Mushfiqur Rahim, Tamim Iqbal and Mustafizur Rahman are experienced players who will be looking to make an impact for the side in this coming event.

Let’s take a look at three players that can play a big role for Bangladesh in the ICC T20 World Cup in Australia.

Tamim Iqbal

Swashbuckling opener will be determined to make an impact with the bat for Bangladesh in the upcoming mega event. Left-hander has been a consistent performer for the side across three formats.

Since May 2016, Tamim Iqbal is the leading runs-getter for the side in the T20 format. He has accumulated 789 runs in 34 T20 matches at a strike rate of 129.76. Tamim Iqbal has two half-centuries to his name during this period.

For Bangladesh to go step further, Tamim Iqbal will need to bring his best cricket to the table in this T20 World Cup.

Mushfiqur Rahim

There is no doubt that Mushfiqur Rahim has been a premier performer for Bangladesh in the T20 format. Wicket-keeper batsman has consistently produced good scores for the side in the past couple of years. Since May 2016, Rahim has scored 579 runs in 29 innings at an average of 24.12 with 4 half-centuries to his name.

Rahim will be looking to do well and pile on the runs for Bangladesh in this year’s T20 World Cup.

Mustafizur Rahman

Left-arm quick has been the go-to bowler for Bangladesh in the T20 format. Due to his ability to well with new and old ball, Bangladesh will be hoping that Mustafizur can deliver the goods with the ball in this year’s T20 World Cup.

Since May 2016, Mustafizur Rahman has topped the bowling charts for Bangladesh in the T20 format. He has claimed 36 wickets in 28 T20I matches at an average of 24.55 with an economy rate of 8.44. With his wide range of variations at his disposal, he will be looking to provide crucial breakthroughs for Bangladesh in this T20 World Cup.
