Guyana Amazon Warriors manage to defeat Jamaica Tallawahs by seven wickets due to outstanding bowling performances coming from fast bowler Sohail Tanvir backed up left arm spinner Permaul. The bowling was spot on as they restricted Tallawahs for just 100 runs in 18 overs on a slow surface as Guyana have won three matches in a row with brushing aside defending champions Trinbago Knight Riders and St Kitts & Nevis Patriots.
Tanvir did bowl a probing spell trapping Gayle leg before in front with a beautiful inswinger.Permaul also come into the attack in the fifth over as he removed Chadwick Wilson and Kumar Sangakarra to see Jamaica slump to 29 for 3 after conclusion of Powerplay overs. There was a flourish in terms of runs as Powell and Shakib-ul-Hasan did start a fight back. Shakib was dismissed by Permaul to extinguish any chances of Tallawahs posting a competitive score as they crawled to 100 runs in 18 overs.
The chase was also tricky for Amazon Warriors lost their openers Martin Guptill and Dwayne Smith to leave them placed 11 for 2 after 4 overs. Chris Lynn ad Jason Mohammad formed 42 run partnership to rebuild the innings for the side to chase down the score. Mohammad was gone after scoring 22 as he trapped leg before by left arm spinner Shakib-ul-Hasan.The wicket did not stall the flow of runs for Warriors as they scored over 45 overs in 4 overs to complete a comprehensive win over Jamaica by seven wickets.
