Sunrisers Hyderabad obliterate Mumbai Indians to register a huge win by 92 runs

The thirty-seven game in the ninth edition of the Indian Premier League saw defending Champions Mumbai Indians take on Sunrisers Hyderabad at ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium,Visakhapatnam.It was considered to be a home advantage for Mumbai Indians but Sunrisers Hyderabad came out all guns blazing to comprehensively beat them by 85 runs.

Earlier in the day,Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to field first on a new surface prepared for the game.Sunrisers once again got off to a good start as David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan put on 85 run opening stand for the innings to lay an ideal foundation for other batsmen to accelerate the rate of scoring in the end overs.David Warner fell short of scoring another fifty as he was dismissed for 48 runs.On the other end,Shikhar Dhawan played superb innings of 82 runs off 57 balls and remained unbeaten till the end.Yuvraj Singh played an attacking innings by striking 23 ball 39 runs that included three fours and two sixes to help his side reach 177 runs after 20 overs.

Rohit Sharma has been the go to man for Mumbai Indians as when he has scored big, they have chased down scores to win games this season of the Indian Premier League.But when Rohit Sharma departed early who was dismissed by in swinging delivery from left arm pacer Ashish Nehra.It was a sign of things to come as theĀ  middle order for Mumbai Indians hasn’t lived up to the expectations.Ashish Nehra got big wickets of Ambati Rayudu and Jos Butler to leave Mumbai Indians reeling at 30 for 5 after 5 overs.It was just the case of how many Mumbai Indians get as they were completely out of the game by then due to exceptional bowling performance executed by Ashish Nehra.Mustafizur Rahman came on to attack and picked two wickets in successive overs to see Mumbai Indians get bundled for a low score of 92 runs.

After pulling a comprehensive victory,Sunrisers Hyderabad go to second position in the league standings while Mumbai Indians slump to their fifth defeat of the season.
