India did produce a well drilled performance in the opening game played against New Zealand at Dharamsala to go 1-0 in the series. Virat Kohli produced a composed innings to help side win the game by six wickets after bowlers executed a clinical performance to see them New Zealand get bowled out for 190 runs.
New Zealand will be hoping to get their first win on Delhi as they have not won any game on this tour. MS Dhoni will be looking to put up a compelling performance in the series as he has been criticized for being spent force in one day cricket. A series here would definitely help ease the stress on Dhoni as lot of critics have been calling for him to step down as the one day captain and appoint Virat Kohli as new leader for men in blue. Indian side will go into this game without the services of their most experienced player Suresh Raina who will miss this game as well due to suffering from fever.
While New Zealand will be hoping that main players such as Kane Williamson,Ross Taylor and Martin Guptill find form on this tour to run India close in the series.Tom Lathan was definetly a positive for them in the first game as he batted sensibly to score 70 odd runs. The bowling has been top notch from the visitors as batting has let them down in the test series as well as the opening game of the one day series.
India team will be confident to win this game as new players coming in the form of Hardik Pandya, Amit Mishra and Jadhav did well in the first game at Dharamsala. Axar Patel and Jaspreet Bumrah also bowled well for no rewards in the wickets column in the game.Virat Kohli once again continued his good form from the test series to score unbeaten 85 runs to see the side home to victory.
