Srilanka add more pace bowlers in their squad for the tour of South Africa

The Srilankan side has enjoyed a period of reasonable success following their glorious triumph at home against Australia and winning the tri-nation one day competition in Zimbabwe. The litmus test for the young side led by Angelo Matthews is going to come on the tour to South Africa that starts from 26th December.

The selection committee has announced 15 man squad for the upcoming tour of South Africa as Srilanka is slated to play three-match test series. They side is well-balanced one keeping in mind the conditions in South Africa generally tend to favor fast bowlers than spinners.Wikum Sajaya has been picked as uncapped player after showing impressive form at the domestic level to form a part of squad that tours South Africa.

Srilanka has bolstered their pace resources as it includes Suranga Lakmal, Nuwan Pradeep, Lahiru Kumara and Dushmantha Chameera. Matthews also bowls his part time medium pace which will provide cover to the main bowlers. Rangana Herath is all set to be the lone ranger in the spin department while batting includes Kusal Mendis, Dinesh Chandimal and Dhananjaya de Silva who did show good form in test cricket.
