South African cliches last ball win over England in a nerve-wracking game

The first T20 match of the series was played at Newlands, Cape Town between England and South Africa.

The series was crucial for both the teams as to find the ideal combination in order to gear up for the upcoming T20 World Cup held in India.

Faf du Plessis won the toss and chose to field first on a decent surface. The match was predicted to have some showers in the late evening.Jason Roy and Alex Hales made an emphatic start to the innings by putting Rabada and Abbott to the sword in the early overs.Kagiso Rabada clawed it back with the wicket of Jason Roy who was caught at mid-wicket off a short ball.Alex Hales was dismissed by premier leggie Imran Tahir deceiving in flight and variation.

Imran Tahir was the star of the match as he picked up key wickets of Morgan, Stokes and Ali to leave England reeling at 81 for 6 after 12 overs.

Jos Butler played crucial innings of 32 runs off 30 balls with some contribution by Adil Rashid to take England to a total of 134 runs after 20 overs.
In reply, South African experienced duo Hashim Amla and AB Devilliers came out and build a good early partnership.

Chris Jordan dismissed Devilliers to leave South Africa placed at 31 for 1 after 4 overs. Hashim Amla followed him as he was undone by a delivery from Ben Stokes.South African Skipper Faf Du Plessis and JP Duminy came together at a crucial time and build a good partnership to steer the chase towards the total.JP Duminy and Faf Du Plessis fell to the spinners trying to up the ante and  go for big shots. Rilee Rossouw and David Miller chipped in and got out at the wrong time to leave team in a precarious situation.

Chris Jordan bowled a superb spell to leave South Africa all the work to do in the last over with fifteen runs off six balls.
Chris Morris came to the fore and did fit to his reputation of being a finisher for South Africa as he hit the winning runs to seal the victory for his team.

Reece Topley could not gather the ball cleanly on the last ball as South Africa batsmen ran for the second run to seal the victory as South Africa take 1-0 lead in two match series.
