Shikhar Dhawan produced a brilliant innings to help India register a series sweep over West Indies with a six-wicket win in the third T20I in Chennai on Sunday. The day started with the visitors winning the toss and opting to bat in perfect batting conditions. The decision proved a correct one as they managed to post more than competitive total of 181 for the loss of three wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
The star of the show for the Caribbean giants was wicketkeeper-batsman Nicholas Pooran, who scored a brilliant 53 not out off just 25 balls with the help of four fours and four sixes. He was well supported by left-handed batsman Darren Bravo, who scored an unbeaten 43 off 37 balls with the help of two fours and two sixes. For the home side, left-arm chinaman Kuldeep Yadav was the most successful bowler on the show as he claimed figures of two for 28 in his four overs.

In reply, the home side had a horrid time beginning as they lost Captain Rohit Sharma in the third over.
But veteran opener Shikhar Dhawan showed his class while keeping composure in tough circumstances and took his team over the line on the final ball of the match. The left-hander finished the innings with the top score of unbeaten 92 off just 62 balls with the help of 10 fours and two sixes.Shikhar Dhawan was well supported by young wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant, who scored 58 off just 38 balls with the help of five fours and three sixes.
For West Indies, right-arm pacer Keemo Paul was the most successful bowler for the visitors as he claimed figures of two for 32, whereas left-arm spinner Fabian Allen and pacer Oshane Thomas claimed a wicket each.
Shikhar Dhawan was named man of the match for his brilliant half-century against West Indies. Left-arm chinaman Kuldeep Yadav was named man of the series for brilliant performances throughout the series.
