Schedule, Fixtures for Pakistan Vs West Indies 2017

Pakistan had a tough time in New Zealand and Australia as they suffered consecutive losses to end the year on a new low after reaching the top summit in the summer against England. The Green shirts are all set to tour West Indies for a full fledge tour to play three Tests, three odis and four T20s in the month of March and April.

The tour is rumored to be Pakistan’s skipper Misbah-ul-Haq last hurrah at the international level as the 43-year old will aim to cap off an amazing career on a high note. Pakistan have announced their One day and T20 squad with Sarfaraz Ahmed name as new captain of the side as Azhar Ali was sacked from the job due to his loss in Australia.

Ahmed Shehzad and Kamran Akmal make their return to both the squads after their terrific performances in the recently concluded second edition of Pakistan Super League. Babar Azam is turning out to be big player for Pakistan in the format with Sarfaraz Ahmed and Shoaib Malik consistently contributing with the bat in the one day format. Junaid Khan, Muhammad Amir, Hasan Ali and Wahab Riaz are fast men picked for the tour while Muhammad Asghar and Imad Wasim are two spin options.

West Indies on the other endured another series defeat at the hands of England at home in the one day format. The batting produced consistent failures against Chris Woakes and Liam Plunkett.  Jason Mohammad and Jonathan Carter stood out with the bat in hand for West Indies. The hosts have recalled the senior players for the T20 squad as Sunil Narine, Marlon Samuels, Lendl Simmons, Samuel Badree and Kieron Pollard.

West Indies stand a chance in the T20 format against Pakistan but it is the one day format that the side has been struggling for the last five years.
