Zimbabwe is all set to tour Pakistan in the month of October and November to play three ODIs and three T20Is. The newly appointed captain Chamu Chibhabha will lead Zimbabwe for the tour of Pakistan. The visitors will begin their tour with three-match ODI series that will begin from 30th October.
Pakistan have announced their 22-man squad for the upcoming one-day series against Zimbabwe. Babar Azam will lead the side for the three-match one-day series. Former captain Sarfraz Ahmed, Pacer Mohammad Amir and all-rounder Shoaib Malik have been dropped from the preliminary squad.
Uncapped Abdullah Shafiq have been included in the one-day squad for the series against Zimbabwe.
Experienced pacers like Muhammad Hafeez and Wahab Riaz have retained their place in the squad after doing well in the T20I series played in England.
Rohail Nazir has been named as back-up wicket-keeper for the side. Muhammad Rizwan is the premier wicket-keeper for the side in white-ball cricket.
Haider Ali, Khushdil Shah, Usman Qadir and Zafar Gohar are new inclusions in the preliminary squad for home series against Zimbabwe.
On the other hand, Zimbabwe have announced their full-strength for the tour of Pakistan. The experienced players like Brendan Taylor, Elton Chigumbura Sean Williams, Craig Ervine and Sikandar Raza have been included in the one-day squad.
In the batting department, the side will be relying on the likes of Brendan Taylor, Sean Williams and Craig Ervine to make notable scores in this one-day series.
Captain Chamu Chibhabha, Ryan Burl and Brian Chari are prominent all-rounders for the side for this one-day series against Pakistan.
Pacer Kyle Jarvis have failed to find a place in the one-day squad despite being named in the preliminary squad after fully recovering from injury.
Uncapped Faraz Akram have been named in the one-day squad for the upcoming tour of Pakistan. Tendai Chatara, Blessing Muzarabani, Donald Tripano and Carl Mumba are prominent options in the bowling department.
All three one-day matches will be played at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on 30th Oct, 1st and 3rd November respectively. The culmination of the one-day series will see Pakistan and Zimbabwe lock horns in the three-match T20I series that will be played on 7th, 8th and 10th November.
