Schedule, Fixtures for Pakistan vs Sri Lanka 2019

Sri Lanka is all set to tour Pakistan in the month of September to play three-match one-day internationals followed by three-match T20I series.

For visitors, experienced players have opted out of the series due to security concerns. So Sri Lanka Cricket Board has named Lahiru Thiramanne has interim captain of the side for the three-match one-day series that starts from 27th September in Karachi.

It will be an exciting opportunity for new players to showcase their abilities with bat and ball on this tour. Rookie opener Avishka Fernando has delivered credible performances for Sri Lanka in limited-overs cricket. He will be looking to continue his good form with the bat in this one-day series.

Danushka Gunathilaka will be looking to produce runs for the side at the top of the innings. The opener has not been regular member of the side in one-day cricket. Gunathilaka will be keen to deliver runs with the bat in this one-day series.

Wicket-keeper Sadeera Samarwickrama, Oshada Fernando and  Lahiru Thiramanne will need to contribute with the bat for Sri Lanka in this three-match one-day series.

In the bowling department,  Nuwan Pradeep, Lahiru Kumara and Kasun Rajitha are three prominent pace options for the side for this one-day series. Besides that, Wanindu Hasaranga and Lakshan Sadakan are two spinners included in the squad for the one-day series.

On the other hand, Pakistan have announced their squad for the three-match one-day series against Sri Lanka. Sarfaraz Ahmed will continue to lead the side in the 50-over format while Babar Azam has named as his deputy for the three-match series.

Opener Abid Ali has made his comeback after not getting picked for ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. The right-handed batsman did score his maiden century against Australia in a one-day game played in the UAE. He will be looking to make an impression with the bat in this series.

Iftikhar Ahmed, Mohammad Rizwan and Mohammad Nawaz have made their return to the limited-overs squad due to consistently splendid performances in List A cricket played in the country. Mohammad Rizwan will be keen to make an impact with the bat in this series.

Haris Sohail proved his one-day credentials in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 played in England and Wales. He will be looking to produce the bulk of the runs for Pakistan in this series.

In the bowling department, Mohammad Amir, Wahab Riaz, Usman Shinwari and Mohammad Hasnain are four prominent pace options for this one-day series. Leg-spinner Shadab Khan and Left-arm orthodox spinner Mohammad Nawaz will also play a key role for Pakistan in this one-day series.
