Ireland is scheduled to tour England to play three-match one-day series in the month of July and August. All the three matches will be played at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton. Uncapped Chris Campher, Harry Tector and Gareth Delaney have been named in the 14-man squad for England series.
In the warm-up game played against England Lions, Paul Stirling and Captain Andrew Balbirnie played well and smashed half-centuries for the side. Paul Stirling smashed 53 runs off 55 balls with the help of four fours and three sixes, whereas Andrew Balbirnie chipped in with 60 runs off 73 balls with the help of seven boundaries.
Harry Tector certainly made quite an impression with the bat and notched up a fluent half-century to help Ireland score their runs at a good rate. He smashed 55 runs off 49 balls with the help of three fours and three sixes.
In the batting department, the side will be relying on the in-form trio of Paul Stirling, Andrew Balbirnie and Harry Tector to do the bulk of the scoring.
In the bowling department, the side will be relying on the likes of Berry McCarthy, Boyd Rankin and Simi Singh to make early inroad with the new-ball.
On the other hand, England will go into this one-day series without big names like Ben Stokes, Mark Wood, Joe Root Chris Woakes and Jos Buttler, who have been rested for the three-match series.
In the warm-up game, Jason Roy perished for a first-ball duck. James Vince and wicket-keeper Sam Billings looked in good touch with the bat. Vince smashed 66 runs off 43 balls with the help of 12 fours, whereas Billings smashed 54 runs off 36 balls with the help of four boundaries and two sixes.
In the batting department, the side will be depending on the likes of Jason Roy, Eoin Morgan and Jonny Bairstow to deliver big runs in this contest.
In the bowling department, the onus will be on the likes of Adil Rashid, David Willey and Moeen Ali to pick up wickets for the side in this series.
