Schedule, Fixtures for Australia vs Sri Lanka 2019

Sri Lanka is scheduled to tour Australia to play three-match T20I series in the month of October. The visitors have not yet announced their squad for the three-match series that is slated to begin from 27th October. Experienced players like Kusal Perera, Kusal Mendis, Niroshan Dickwella, Lasith Malinga and Angelo Matthews will come into the squad for this important series.

There were plenty of positives from Sri Lanka’s tour to Pakistan played earlier this month. Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Wanindu Hasaranga, Dasun Shanaka, Nuwan Pradeep and Isuru Udana are expected to retain their places in the T20 Squad. Danushka Gunathilaka, Oshada Fernando and Lahiru Kumara also produced credible performances in the three-match T20I series and will be hoping that they can get selected for the tour to Australia.

On the other hand, Australia named their T20I squad as David Warner and Steven Smith make their return to the national side. The inclusion of David Warner, Steven Smith will strengthen the batting resources for Australia for this home series.

Opening batsman Aaron Finch will lead Australia for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka. Finch has been a bankable performer for the side in the shortest format of the game and would be looking to put in notable scores in this series.

Besides Finch, Warner will also be looking to make an impact with the bat in this three-match T20I series. Left-hander has made limited appearances for Australia in the T20 format in the past couple of years. The team management will be hoping that Warner can find form with the bat in this series.

All-rounder Glenn Maxwell has been a consistent performer with the bat and ball for Australia in the T20 format.  He has the ability to change the complexion of the game in a space of few overs and go berserk in the later stages of the innings.

Ashton Turner and Ben McDermott have been included on the back of strong performances delivered in the Big Bash League played last year.

Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins make their comeback into the T20I squad and will be expected to do well in this series. Billy Stanlake has been first-choice seamer in the T20 format for Australia. The pace bowler has claimed wickets with the new-ball and made crucial breakthroughs for Australia.

Kane Richardson, Ashton Agar and Adam Zampa are other prominent options for Australia for this three-match T20I series.
