Schedule, Fixtures for 2019 Bangladesh Tri-series

After the culmination of the one-off Test against Afghanistan, Bangladesh is scheduled to host Zimbabwe and Afghanistan for a T20 Tri-series in September. Despite being suspended by International Cricket Council (ICC) for failing to keep sport away from political interventions, Zimbabwe will not be able to take big events like World Cup, World T20 and Champions Trophy.

The ICC officials have clearly stated that Zimbabwe is not banned from playing bilateral matches and will proceed to play the tri-series tournament in Bangladesh. Bangladesh Cricket Board spokesman said that Zimbabwe have been included after ICC gave green signal on their participation.

Rashid Khan will lead Afghanistan for this tri-series featuring Zimbabwe and Bangladesh. Uncapped players like Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Naveen-ul-Haq and Fazal Niazi for the Bangladesh tri-series.

On the other hand, Zimbabwe will be keen to put up a strong show in the tri-nation series. Captain Hamilton Masakadza will be looking to end his international career on a positive note and help Zimbabwe do well in this tournament. Sean Williams, Craig Ervine and Brendan Taylor will be key for the side in this competition.

Host Bangladesh have announced their squad for tri-series. Shakib Al Hasan will captain the side for the tri-series competition. Mahmudullah, Mohammad Saifuddin, Liton Das and Mustafizur Rahman will be key players for the side in this tri-series.

The tournament will be played in Bangladesh across two venues-Dhaka and Chittagong. The opening game of the competition will see host Bangladesh take on Zimbabwe at Shere-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka on 13th September.

The final of 2019 Bangladesh Tri-series will be played on 24th September at Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka. The schedule and fixtures for 2019 Bangladesh Tri-series is given below as follows:
