Rohit Sharma leads Mumbai Indians revival as they overcome Royal Challengers Bangalore by 6 wickets

The fourteenth game in the ninth edition of the Indian Premier League saw defending Champions Mumbai Indians come up against Royal Challengers Bangalore at Wankhede Stadium,Mumbai.

Rohit Sharma came out as opener to derail Royal Challengers bowling unit on a considerable batting friendly wicket to give them a six wicket win and collect important points in the overall standings of the league.Rohit Sharma was superlative in his innings of 62 runs off 44 balls that included four fours and three sixes help his side Mumbai Indians overcome Royal Challengers score of 170 runs with 2 overs remaining in the innings.

Ambati Rayudu,Jos Butler and Kieron Pollard played important roles as Mumbai Indians registered their second win in the ninth edition of Indian Premier League.Mumbai Indians led by Rohit Sharma won the toss and put Royal Challengers Bangalore to bat first on the surface.Virat Kohli and KL Rahul provided a solid start with score being 91 for 1 after 10 overs.The game turned in the match when Royal Challengers lost three key wickets that included Kohli,de Villiers and Watson.The man who turned for Mumbai was slow left arm orthodox Krunal Pandya who bowled a tidy spell in the game.

Sarfaraz Khan and Travis Head put on a 63 run stand to take Royal Challengers Bangalore to post a total of 170 runs after 20 overs.Jaspreet Bumrah also bowled well taking three wickets to restrict the opposition to a modest total making it easy for Mumbai Indians to chase down the total without any major hassles.
