A preamble to the ninth edition of Indian Premier League 2016

The ninth edition of the Indian Premier League will provide opportunity to newly created teams like Gujarat Lions and Pune Supergiants to showcase their skills with Chennai Super Kings legacy as franchise now being put to rest as the extravaganza begins from 9th April till 29th May 2016.

The competition will stage a total of 60 matches to be played across ten cities.The most expensive cricket league will unravel new talents from all the franchises to produce moments of brilliance with the bat and ball.

Virat Kohli will lead the red brigade of Royal Challengers Bangalore and will be looking to take the coveted prize for his team with the dangerous accomplices at disposal such as AB De Villiers and Chris Gayle. While Rohit Sharma will be looking to put a better performance as he will lead MumbaiĀ  Indians out on the field in the ninth edition to defend their crown. Jos Butler will bolster the Mumbai Indians resources to defend their title.

Delhi Daredevils will looking to make amends of some poor seasons with the new superstar like Carlos Brathwaite included to provide spark under astute leadership of Zaheer Khan along with mentor Rahul Dravid.
