Pakistan’s premier bowler Yasir Shah has become the quickest spinner from the subcontinent to reach the milestone of 100 wickets in Test Cricket in just 17 matches. Shah made his debut two years ago against Australia in the desert shores of UAE has been instrumental in helping the side win games consistently at their adopted home and has put in match winning performances against England and Australia.
The man arrived late on international scene but his relentless energy and skills has seen him rise to no.1 ranking for ICC Test Bowlers. He also was the main guy for Pakistan in bowling department in their two famous victories at Lords and The Oval that saw the visitors draw the series against a formidable England side playing at home.
Shah with his bag of tricks now has 100 wickets in 17 games played for Pakistan just edging past the Indian ace off spinner Ravi Ashwin who also completed his 200th wicket in test cricket in the recently concluded series against New Zealand.
Shah also grabbed another five-for in the first day night test against West Indies to see the visitors get bundled out for 357 in their first innings. He came back in the second innings trying hard for his side to grab main wickets of Darren Bravo and Roston Chase to see his side notch a splendid win in their 400th test match.
Pakistan will be hoping that the ace leg spinner would continue to serve the side with more magical performances. The future looks good for the country in terms of spin resources as Mohammad Nawaz with his left arm spin made his debut in the game against West Indies.
