He said that Pakistan could surprise a lot of people as they go into tournament this time around  pitted as Underdogs and could draw some motivation from herculean feats achieved in 1992 World Cup and WorldT20 2009 where they were placed in precarious situation to win the coveted prize.

Pakistan is currently No.7 in ICC T20 Team rankings due to their horrid run of form that has seen them lose consecutive series to England and New Zealand. The Asia Cup campaign also saw them bow out early as they got defeated by Bangladesh in a crucial game and also lost a game against India where they got bundled out for 83 runs.

The team misery was compounded by injury list as Babar Azam and Rumman Raees could not recover in time to be declared fit while Khurram Manzoor and Khalid Latif were selected in place of Ahmed Shehzad and Iftikhar Ahmed in the squad for WorldT20 2016.

Shoaib Malik said that his team could turn things around following a string of losses in last three months and could play to their best in the WorldT20 in India.
