Pakistan and Sri Lanka playing for pride in a dead rubber

Surprisingly two most dominant teams in T20 history since inception will battle it out in a dead rubber at Shere Bangla National Stadium,Mirpur after playing each other in the finals of the last Asia Cup held in Bangladesh.

The tournament for both the teams has been a mixed up with batting line-ups being most vulnerable and consistently failing to produce the goods at the key moments.

Bangladesh did defeat both Sri Lanka and Pakistan to qualify for the finals of Asia Cup.The opening order for Pakistan has been woeful with no contribution at all in the tournament while Dinesh Chandimal did show promise and form for Sri Lanka in the games played.

Pakistan had few batsmen clicking in the tournament such as Shoaib Malik,Umar Akmal and Sarfaraz Ahmed but have failed to execute their batting plan as a team to post a dominant score in all three games.

Mohammad Amir, the only bright spot for Pakistan in Asia Cup showed intent and potency to trouble the best in the world as he marks his impressive run of form after long exile due to spot-fixing ban.

Sri Lanka also possess a decent attack with experienced duo of Rangana Herath and Nuwan Kulasekara having played a huge amount of games for their country.

Angelo Matthews and Thisara Perera also provide all-round balance to the side suffering from batting ills at the moment.
