The cricketing fans await a titanic contest as New Zealand and Australia are all set to clash again for the Chappell-Hadlee Trophy next month in Australia. New Zealand has announced their 14 member one day squad for the series against Australia. The Kiwis have brought in uncapped player Lockie Ferguson into the squad while Colin Munro and Henry Nicholls make their way into the side. Todd Astle, Colin de Grandhomme are also rewarded for their efforts in the test series against Pakistan.
Ferguson who plays for Auckland is fast bowler who has taken 16 wickets from eight games. The selectors went for the player as an ideal replacement for Adam Milne. Ferguson also bowls at express pace and clocks around 140-150 Kph consistently make him a threat to batsman on a consistent basis. Colin de Grandhomme fantastic debut against Pakistan saw him makes his way into the one day squad for New Zealand. He took six wickets in the opening test at Christchurch against Pakistan as he replaced Corey Anderson in the test lineup.
Todd Astle is also in the mix after good performances in domestic circuit in New Zealand. The Chappell-Hadlee is certainly to be a great series as the past contest has thrown up many enthralling contest between the arch-rivals. The opening game of Chappell-Hadlee Trophy will be 4th December with Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne chosen as venues for the series.
