India is all set to create history as they take on England in the final test to be played at Chennai starting from 16th December on Friday.
England did tick all the boxes at the opening day of fourth test at Mumbai as they won the toss and went onto score over 400 runs. The next four days saw the visitors bowling go pare-shaped as they lost the early momentum to see India pile up 600 runs. England did have chances in the game but could not cling onto them which meant that India went to win the series and game.
Indian spinners bowled probing spells as Ravi Ashwin led the way with 12 wicket haul followed by Ravendra Jadeja and Jayant Yadav who did take wickets in the game. Ashwin cleaned up the tail on the last day of test to take six wickets in the second innings to see England consign to their biggest defeats in recent years under Cook’s leadership.
Kohli and co will be looking to add more insult and take full retribution of the mauling received at the hands of English in previous three series. Indian team is all set to embark on something special as they are on 17 games unbeaten streak making them equal their previous record attained from 1985 till 1987.
James Anderson is all set to sit out the game due to soreness in his shoulder and will not played in the last game as suggested by England captain Alastair Cook. Liam Dawson could take his place as an additional spinner for the game. Despite Cyclone striking the city, the pitch has not at all been affected as the game will start as per the schedule on 16th December.
