Kings XI Punjab Squad Overview- Indian Premier League 2017

Kings XI Punjab has not been able to taste success in the last two seasons as the franchise ended their campaigns at the bottom of the league. George Bailey did take them to the finals only to fall agonizingly short of a coveted title. Glenn Maxwell will have big shoes to fill as captain to turn the fortunes for the side this season after finishing at the bottom in the league last year. David Miller quit the captaincy role half way in the tournament last year to see Murali Vijay take over the reins.

Eoin Morgan is in the Kings XI Punjab for this tenth edition as England skipper will bring plenty of experience to help Kings XI turnaround things. Darren Sammy will also be valuable edition as two-time World T20 has experience of pulling off big tournament wins as leader of the West Indies cricket team.

Varun Aaron was acquired for INR 2.8 crores to bolster their resources on the fast bowling department. The bowling has been a letdown for the franchise as it has turned out to be their Achilles heel in last two seasons.
