Kevin Pietersen and Shahid Afridi to take part in Cricket All Stars 2017

Kevin Pietersen and Shahid Afridi are all set to join the bandwagon with the Cricket All Stars that saw more than dozen of cricketing legends take stage at venues across USA.Pietersen has not played an international game since last Ashes series in Australia in 2014.Shahid Afridi is also another star who has not played for Pakistan after team’s debacle at WorldT20 in India. Pietersen was axed following his growing tensions with the England management. Though he was highest runs scorer for England but other aspects compelled the management to drop him from the side. He is rumored to call it quits to join and participate in Cricket All Stars this season.

Afridi is currently Bangladesh Premier League but soon could join the league as Shane Warne announced that the cricket fans would be well pleased if Kevin Pietersen and Shahid Afridi did show their interest to play in the league featuring a group of most illustrious cricketers to have set foot on the cricketing field.

Cricket All Stars was brainchild of two great cricketers Shane Warne and Sachin Tendulkar who came with the idea to play a short t20 series consisting of great players in USA to popularize the game in the country. The first edition was outright success as fans flock the stadiums across USA in big numbers as this year’s tournament will be stage in the month of October 2017 in any non-cricket playing nation.The other players who will feature in next edition are Michael Clarke, Brendon McCullum, Adam Gilchrist,Mitchell Johnson, Stephen Fleming and Darren Gough.
