Jaspreet Bumrah’s brilliant bowling performance was enough for Team India in registering a 137-run win in the third Test of the four-match series against Australia in Melbourne on Sunday.The match started with the visiting side winning the toss and opting to bat first in good batting conditions.
The decision proved a correct one as the Men in Blue managed to post a mammoth total of 443 for the loss of seven wickets before declaring on day two.Right-hander batsman Cheteshwar Pujara was the star of the show as he scored 106 off 319 balls with the help of 10 fours.
He was well supported by captain Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, who scored 82 and 63 not out off 204 and 114 balls respectively.For Australia, pacer Pat Cummins was best bowler on show as he claimed figures of three for 72.

In reply, the home side never really get going and was bundled out for just 151, courtesy Bumrah’s outstanding bowling performance. The right-armer was at his very best and finished with figures of six for 33.In the second innings, the visitors had a hard time and declared after scoring 106 runs for the loss of eight wickets.
Opener Mayank Agarwal was the best batsman on show as he scored 42 off 102 balls with the help of four fours and two sixes.For the Kangaroos, it was Cummins once again as he claimed his career-best figures of six for 27 in just 11 overs.
Chasing a mammoth total of 399 to go 2-1 up in the series, the Baggy Greens never looked in contention with losing wickets at regular intervals and were eventually bundled out for just 261 in the morning session on the final day.Cummins, this time, was the star of the show with the bat as he finished the innings with the top score of 63 off 114 balls with the help of five fours and one six.
For India, pacer Jaspreet Bumrah and left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja claimed three wickets each.For taking nine wickets in the match, Bumrah was named player of the match.
