India produce a resounding win over Zimbabwe by ten wickets to complete a whitewash in the series

The third game in the bilateral series played between India and Zimbabwe saw yet another one-sided game as India cruised to a ten wicket victory over the hosts and completed a whitewash in three match one day series.

Openers KL Rahul and Faiz Fazal played well and delivered the knockout punch in the chase as they put on a unbeaten opening stand of 124 runs to steer their side to victory.KL Rahul continued his good run of form to finish unbeaten on 63 runs off 70 balls that included four fours and two sixes in his innings.Faiz Fazal who made his debut in the game as an opener played well for his unbeaten 55 runs off 61 balls and struck seven fours along with a six. Zimbabwe lacked potency to make early breakthroughs and did not produce anything substantial in the game. They have only managed to pick up three wickets in three matches played in the series against an inexperienced Indian Team.

Earlier in the day, Zimbabwe won the toss and elected to bat first but the similar story happened like the previous two games as they folded for a meager total of 123 runs in 42 overs. Indian medium pacer Jaspreet Bumrah was the star of show as he picked 4 wickets for 22 runs to end up with career-best figures in a one day game. The Zimbabwe batting was reckless and threw their wickets away at regular intervals as Visu Sibanda top scored with 38 runs followed by Chamu Chibhabha who made 27 runs. The wholesale changes in lineup by Zimbabwe did not prevent them for being beaten in a comprehensive fashion by the new Indian Brigade led by captain MS Dhoni.
