Carlos Brathwaite-led West Indies will face Virat Kohli-led India in the second T20I of the three-match series in Florida on Sunday.
The home side will be desperate to turn things around after a string of poor performances in T20 cricket. Earlier this season, they suffered a humiliating 3-0 whitewash against England in a three-match series played in the Caribbean.
But the side is going to face an uphill task as they will take on high-flying India, who managed to take 1-0 lead in the T20I series.
In the batting department, opening pair Evin Lewis and John Campbell will have the responsibility to provide a solid base so that the likes of Shimron Hetymer, Kieron Pollard and Nicholas Pooran can capitalize and deliver a big finish in the later stages of the innings.
In the bowling department, it is expected that the West Indies will go in with the same bowling combination that played in the opening game of the series.
On the other hand, India will fancy their chances of winning this T20I series after a clinical performance in the opening game of the series. It will also be a great opportunity to win a T20I series against West Indies in overseas conditions.
In the batting department, the side will relying on their top-order batting trio of Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan and captain Kohli to do the bulk of the scoring in this game. The experienced players will need shoulder responsibility considering the fact that the middle and lower middle- has been India’s Achilles heel in recent times.
In the bowling department, Navdeep Saini, Khaleel Ahmed and Bhuvneshwar Kumar will be prominent pace options for the side in this game. Washington Sundar, Ravendra Jadeja and Yuzvendra Chahal are three spin options for this game.
For West Indies, they will need to bring their A-game to the table with bat and ball in order to level this three-match T20I series.
