We have identified a list of five players who can steal the show with bat and ball in the upcoming 2020 ICC T20 World Cup.
David Warner (Australia)
First in the list is Australia swashbuckling opener David Warner. The 33-year-old is certainly one of the most consistent players in the shortest format of the game given his splendid performances in the Indian Premier League in the past two seasons. He will be looking to get Australia off to rampant starts and put the pressure back on the opposition bowlers.
With the 2020 ICC T20 World Cup less than four months away, David Warner will see this as an ideal opportunity to make an impact for Australia with the bat and help them break their trophy drought in the T20 format. The left-hander has represented Australia in 79 T20I matches, where he has accumulated 2207 runs at an average of 31.52. He has scored one century and 17 half-centuries for Australia in the T20 format.
Shadab Khan (Pakistan)
Pakistan’s Shadab Khan is turning out to be a full-time T20 specialist after having a successful time in different leagues in the world. The 21-year-old has played 40 T20s in his short career where he has taken 48 wickets to his name at a strike-rate of 17.8 and with an impressive economy-rate of 7.03.
Eoin Morgan (England)
England Captain Eoin Morgan has proved to be a bankable performer for the side in the T20 format. The left-hander was instrumental in helping England clinch T20I series in South Africa this year. The 33-year old has played 89 T20s in his career till now, where he has managed to score 2138 runs at an impressive average of 30.98 and with a strike-rate of 137.49, which includes 13 half-centuries.
Rashid Khan (Afghanistan)
Rashid Khan is being termed as the best spinner in white-ball cricket currently playing in the game. The right-arm leggie has played 48 T20s for Afghanistan where he has claimed 89 wickets at an impressive strike-rate of 12.3 along with an economy-rate of 6.14.
Jaspreet Bumrah (India)
Jaspreet Bumrah is one of the best bowlers in the T20 format. With World T20 less than four months away, Bumrah will have an opportunity to find his form with the ball and make an impact for India in the upcoming showpiece event. The 26-year old has played 50 T20I matches for India and claimed 59 wickets at an economy rate of 6.66. For India to clinch their second T20 Trophy, Bumrah will need to play a role with the ball in hand.
