Hosts lead three-match series 1-0 going into final Test in Delhi
India are ready to face desperate Sri Lanka in the third and final Test of the series in Delhi from Saturday.
Hosts are leading the series 1-0 after the first Test was rain effect and ended as a draw, whereas in the Nagpur Test, Virat Kohli-led side registered thumping innings and 239 runs victory.The home side will enter into the contest once again as strong favourites and will look to seal the deal in Delhi.
However, the Indian team combination looks far from certain as there is no assurance which opener will cement his place in the playing eleven out of Murali Vijay, Shikhar Dhawan and KL Rahul. The team will be once again depending on the class of skipper Kohli and ever-dependent Cheteshwar Pujara to lead from the front in the batting department.
In the bowling department, it is interesting to see if the think tank will stick with veteran pacer Ishant Sharma or go with the flair of Mohammad Shami, whereas the spin department will consist of Ravendra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin.
For Sri Lanka, things look far from certain after horrid show in Nagpur, and there is a strong possibility of Dhananjaya de Silva and Roshen Silva starting in the final eleven on Saturday.The team will be banking on the experience of all-rounder Angelo Mathews and captain Dinesh Chandimal in the batting department, but the duo will need assistance from the rest of the lot as well.
