Delhi Daredevils will be keen to put on good show this season as the side has not been up to the mark in the last few seasons. They will play their first game in the tenth edition of the Indian Premier League against last year’s losing finalist Royal Challengers Bangalore. Delhi has suffered a setback of sorts as Quinton de Kock will miss the whole edition after injuring his finger during South Africa’s tour to New Zealand.JP Duminy is another South African that will not participate in this edition citing personal reasons for his withdrawal from the competition.
The likes of Rishabh Pant, Corey Anderson, Karun Nair and Jayant Yadav will add some firepower in the batting department in the absence of Quinton de Kock and JP Duminy. Delhi did make notable acquisitions for this edition as they bought the menacing fast bowlers Kagiso Rabada and Pat Cummins in the IPL Auction held in February. Zaheer Khan will once again lead Delhi Daredevils in this edition of Indian Premier League.Angelo Matthews and Carlos Brathwaite also valuable players in the squad that offer plenty of experience in the setup for this year’s campaign.
Things could certainly turn out to be different this time around with the franchise buying up some good players as they will be keen to change their fortunes in the upcoming tenth edition of the Indian Premier League.
