De Kock, Hendricks help South Africa level the T20I series

Captain Quinton de Kock produced a majestic innings and Beuran Hendricks inspirational performance set up a comprehensive nine-wicket win over South Africa in the third and final game of the T20I series in Bengaluru on Tuesday.

The day started with Indian Captain Virat Kohli winning the toss and opting to bowl first considering the placid batting conditions at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium.

However, his decision backfired drastically as India struggled to get going in their innings and posted a below par score of 134 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

The star of the show was opener Shikhar Dhawan, who scored a brisk 36 off 25 balls with the help of four fours and two sixes. Wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant, Hardik Pandya and Ravendra Jadeja also chipped in with crucial scores to see India post a modest score on the board.

Quinton de Kock delivered a superlative batting performance to help South Africa register a comprehensive win over India in the third T20I played at Bengaluru.

For South Africa, Left-arm medium pacer Junior Dala was the pick of the bowlers, as he finished with figures of two for 14 in four overs. Kagiso Rabada also bowled well and picked up three wickets in his four overs.

Chasing 135 runs to win the game, Quinton de Kock and Reeza Hendricks got the side off to a perfect and added 76 runs in the first 10 overs..

Captain and wicket-keeper batsman Quinton de Kock was the star of the show for South Africa as he finished with the top score of 79 not out off 52 with the help of six fours and five sixes.

He was well supported by middle-order batsman Temba Bavuma, who scored unbeaten 27 off 23 with the help of two fours and a six.

For India, Washington Sundar put in tidy bowling performance and conceded only 27 runs from his four overs.

For his outstanding batting display, Quinton de Kock was named player of the series while medium-pacer Beuran Hendricks was named man of the match for his splendid bowling performance.
