The Big Bash League witnessed a great contest as Brisbane Heat locked horns against Hobart Hurricanes at the Gabba. Chris Lynn continued to reinforce his exceptional skills with the bat in the t20 format while McCullum was also not far off as the home side went on to chase down a score of 173 runs in 16 overs.
Brendon McCullum and Chris Lynn put in dazzling performances with the bat to guide Brisbane Heat to yet another impressive win after Hurricanes put up 173 runs on the board. Brisbane Heat in the chase got off to a perfect start as McCullum and Lynn put on 109 run partnership and ripped the Hurricanes bowling lineup to all parts of the ground. The duo launched onslaught on the bowlers to notch up Brisbane Heat’s third win in the league in just 16 overs. McCullum was dismissed for 72 runs by spinner Cameron Boyce, but Lynn continued his belligerence with the bat to take his side to win the game by seven wickets. Chris Lynn finished unbeaten as he scored 84 runs off 50 balls.He struck four fours and seven sixes in his innings. He experienced good fortune in this game as well as he was dropped by Hurricanes at the start of his innings.
George Bailey was run-out in a slightly bizarre fashion but Sangakkara has looked off-color so far in the Big Bash League for Hobart Hurricanes.Brisbane Heat are now at the top of the league table while Hurricanes are lingering at the bottom half of the table with two losses from three matches played in this edition of Big Bash League
