David Warner scored his third half century in the ninth edition of Indian Premier League as Sunrisers Hyderabad did manage to defeat Gujarat lions in a game played at Rajkot.
David Warner scored an unbeaten 74 runs off 48 balls while Shikhar Dhawan also scored a solid fifty to set up a ten wicket victory for Sunrisers Hyderabad over Gujarat Lions.Earlier in the day,Bhuveshwar Kumar produced a match winning spell as he took 4 wickets for 29 runs to restrict Gujarat Lions to a score of 135 after 20 overs.
Warner led the charge in the chase as he cracked two boundaries off premier fast bowler Dale Steyn.,who had his first outing in this year’s Indian Premier League.The spinners for Gujarat Lions were also unable to stem the flow of runs as Warner and Dhawan cruised comfortably towards the target without taking any risks.

Suresh Raina played a lone hand in the innings as he scored 75 runs while others failed to make any telling contribution in the innings.The flurry of wickets meant that Gujarat Lions were unable to reach a par total for the game as they only scored 85 runs in last 14 overs.
