BCCI selection announces I6 man squad for the last three tests against England

Bhuvneshwar Kumar has regained fitness and has made his way back into the 16 man squad for India for the last three tests. Opener Gautam Gambhir has been axed from the side after registering low scores in the second test against England at Visakhapatnam. There is only one change as Kumar will now be available for selection for the third test at Mohali. The BCCI Selection Committee said that majority of the players have been retained barring a few exceptions.

The hosts have 1-0 lead in the series as third game will begin on Saturday at Mohali. England on the other hand has plenty of issues to deal with as Jos Buttler might be picked ahead of Ben Duckett for the third test at Mohali. Buttler who last played a test for more than a year will play in the side as a specialist batsman rather his previously dual role of wicket keeping and batting for England.

Virat Kohli’s men responded well after being outplayed in the first test to win the second game at Vishakapatnam. The hosts are one up in the series so far plenty of action for cricketing audiences for three next games of the contest.
