Afghanistan set to play one day series against Bangladesh in September

Afghanistan cricket team is all set to tour Bangladesh in the month of September to play a bilateral series that will see play three matches against the hosts. This will be a first ever bilateral series between the two countries that will go ahead in the coming as per mutual agreement between Bangladesh and Afghanistan Cricket Boards.The three matches will played at Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur between the sides. The games will be played on 25TH September,28 September and 1st October as per finalized schedule for the series. Afghanistan has performed well in the last global event such as WorldT20 held in India by giving a tough fight to the likes of England and South Africa.

Bangladesh on the other hand have been formidable of late with the series wins against India and South Africa. Afghanistan has last played a bilateral series against Zimbabwe which is a full member side according to International Cricket Council.Afghanistan has beat Bangladesh in the Asia Cup 2014 but lost to the them in World Cup 2015 group game.The chairman of Afghanistan Cricket Board Nasimullah Danish stated that the side wants more series with top cricketing nations to get more exposure and improve their rankings. He said that the side touring different conditions will help them understand and adjust to different playing conditions prevalent all over the world.
