Both teams come into the match with three victories and a solitary defeat
Australia and Pakistan are ready to battle it out in the grand finale of the T20I Tri-Series in Harare on Sunday. Both teams will come into the match with three wins and a solitary defeat in the four matches they played so far.
Till now, both sides have faced each twice in the tournament so far. In the first encounter, it was Aaron Finch’s side who registered a comfortable nine-wicket win, whereas, in the second clash, it was Sarfraz Ahmed-led unit who came out victorious by 45 runs.
The Australia team will go into the match after an impressive five-wicket win against Zimbabwe in their last match.
In the batting department, the eyes will be on captain Finch — who is being in terrific form for the team — to lead from the front and deliver at the grand stage. The return of the form of Glenn Maxwell’s is a big positive going forward, as he has the ability to change any game at any moment for his side. In the bowling department, the team will be heavily depending on pacers Billy Stanlake and Andre Tye, both of whom are in great form for the team.
For Pakistan, the team has recovered nicely after an early defeat in the tournament after the Kangaroos and is not looking set to put a great test for their opposition. In the batting department, the team will be depending on hard-hitting opener Fakhar Zaman, who is been in sublime form for the Men in Green. There will be high expectations of experienced duo of captain Sarfaraz and veteran all-rounder Shoaib Malik to provide a great finish for the team.
In the bowling department, the team will be relying on pacers like Hasan Ali, Mohammad Amir, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Usman Khan Shinwari. The pitch is expected to be a good one for batting, but the toss can play a vital role in the outcome of the match.
