West Indies is all set to tour England in the month of August as Jason Holder and co. are scheduled to play full-fledge series. The two sides will battle it out for Wisden Trophy as England is all set to host first day night at Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham. West Indies will play three Tests, five one day internationals and one-off T20 game.
Joe Root had started his captaincy stint in the best possible manner as England comprehensively beat South Africa by 3-1 in four-match series. Ben Stokes, Jonny Bairstow and Moeen Ali are in-form players who chipped in with great performances against South Africa. There seem to be slight chinks in England’s batting lineup as Keaton Jennings might get replaced by Mark Stoneman or Alex Hales.
Tom Westley has done well at no.3 but Dawid Malan might also face the axe after his poor performance in the two games he played against South Africa. James Anderson continued his good form and threatened with the new-ball throughout the series.
West Indies have not been that good in the format despite their heroic win in Barbados against Pakistan. Kyle Hope and Raymon Riefer have been included for the tour. Kemar Roach also makes a comeback into the side after sitting on the sidelines for a long time.
