Guyana continue their winning streak by brushing aside St.Lucia Zouks by eight wickets

The 13th game of the Caribbean Premier League saw team at the top, Guyana Amazon Warriors take on St. Lucia Zouks at Providence Stadium in Guyana. Chris Lynn and Jason Mohammad put on a match winning partnership of 82 runs to help St.Lucia Zouks win the game by eight wickets. Guyana after brushing aside St.Lucia Zouks have now won five games out of six and sit comfortably at the top of the standings in the Caribbean Premier League 2016.

St.Lucia Zouks lost their both openers Johnson Charles and Shane Watson in the first over off the bowling of left arm seamer Sohail Tanvir. Michael Hussey scored 64 runs off 51 balls and carried the whole innings on his shoulders despite some support from David Miller who scored 23 runs and Darren Sammy who scored 11.Michael Hussey struck seven boundaries in his innings to help his side post 138 runs after 20 overs. Zouks at one stage were struggling at 44 for 3 after 10 overs but Hussey innings helped them reach a modest total in the end.

Adam Zampa has already impressed in various tournaments as he continued his splendid run with the ball to go top in the standings for most wickets in the league with 12 scalps. Warriors had the luck on their side as Captain Martin Guptill was dropped twice in the innings but he could go on to score as he fell for 19 runs. Dwayne Smith scored 32 runs off 24 balls.He struck three fours and one six in his innings before dismissed by off spinner Shillingford. Jason Mohammad and Chris Lynn produced unbeaten 82 run partnership to take their side to win the game by eight wickets. Jason Mohammad scored an unbeaten 43 runs off 29 balls and struck four sixes in his innings. Chris Lynn also provided support at the other end as he remained unbeaten 38 runs off 29 balls to help Guyana register their fifth win in the competition.
