Chasing 204 was never going to be easy for a young looking Proteas side, and so it proved to be as the home side managed to score just 175 for the loss of nine wickets in their allotted 20 overs.Right-handed opening batsman Reeza Hendricks was the star of the show for the home side, as he finished with the top score of 70 off 50 with the help of eight fours and one six.
He was well supported by middle-order batsman Farhan Behardien, who scored hard-fought 39 off 27 with the help of three fours and two sixes.For the visitors, Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the star of the show as he became the first Indian fast-bowler to claim five wickets in a T20I encounter and finished with figures of five for 24, for which he was also named player of the match.
