Kumar Sangakkara fell for low score for Jamaica but Lendl Simmons and Andre McCarthy played well to put together 60 odd runs to see Tallawahs well on track to chase down the score. The game swung in favor of Tridents when leg-spinner Imran Khan dismissed McCarthy to see Jamaica lose their second wicket. Akeal Hossain dismissed Shakib Al Hasan and Lendl Simmons run out meant that Jamaica Tallawahs went from 77 for 1 to 82 for 4 in no time. Akeal Hossain and Imran Khan bowled well as Tallawahs lost momentum after that and lost by 12 runs.

Earlier, Barbados Tridents Captain Kieron Pollard won the toss and opted to bat first. Dwayne Smith and Shoaib Malik played well on a surface that was not conducive for run-scoring. Wayne Parnell and Akeal Hossain chipped in with vital runs towards the end of the innings to see Tridents get 142 runs on the board from 20 overs. Imad Wasim bowled splendidly well as picked two wickets and conceded only 16 runs from his four-over spell.

Akeal Hossain was adjudged man of the match for Barbados Tridents in this game. Jamaica Tallawahs will rue the fact they were in the game but capitulated badly at the end of the innings to lose the game by a small margin.
