Afridi says Lack of Talent Hurting Pakistan Cricket Team

Former Pakistani T20 Skipper Shahid Afridi stated that the Pakistan Cricket Board needs to focus on certain things at the structural level in order to produce quality cricketers at the international level. While giving his views in an interview with BBC Urdu, he said that he would receive a formal warning if he goes in length describing the flaws in cricketing structure in Pakistan and inadequacies of the Pakistan Cricket Board.

Shahid Afridi also said that the English Tabloids are putting immense on Mohammad Amir as he backed the left arm pacer to come good on the tour to England. He clearly stated that there is not enough Talent to bring back the glory days of Pakistan Cricket of 1990s.He said that he has no plans to retire from the game as he considers himself fit and better than other players who are playing in current setup in shorter formats. Afridi is currently playing in England domestic T20 competition representing Hampshire after his resignation from T20 captaincy following the debacle in the Asia Cup and WorldT20 in terms of Pakistan Cricket Team’s performances.
